Together, our research team has over eight decades of experience in conducting mental health services and social work research, focused primarily on increasing parent and child engagement in mental health services and improving both the quality and delivery of mental health care services for children and families in New York State and nationally.
Several of our research team members are lifelong equine enthusiasts and have combined their talents from mental health and the equine worlds to improve the lives of children and their families.
Our passion is to support human-animal interactions toward creating meaningful therapeutic outcomes, particularly for children and families navigating behavioral health challenges. We collaborate with clinicians, educators, and equine professionals to design evidence-based approaches that bridge the gap between mental health services and the healing potential of human-animal connections. We strive to ensure that individuals can access effective, compassionate, and innovative therapeutic experiences
